Pickleball Competition Overview

Whether you’re a seasoned pickleball player or picking up a paddle for the first time, the tournament offers competitive play for all skill levels. Participants may compete in up to two events—Mixed Doubles and either Men’s or Women’s Doubles—providing multiple opportunities to get on the court. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division.

Format & Rules

Tournament Format

Round Robin Stage:
- Each team/player will compete in multiple matches within their division.
- Standings will be determined based on wins, point differential, and head-to-head results.
  - Tie Breakers:
    - First tie-breaker: head-to-head results among tied teams
    - Second tie-breaker: Point differential of all games
    - Third tie-breaker: Head-to-head point differential
    - Fourth tie-breaker: Point differential against the next highest player/team
Single Elimination Bracket:
- Seeding for the bracket will be based on Round Robin results.
- Single elimination matches will determine final standings.
- Winners advance; losing teams are eliminated.

OTHER RULES

Timeouts: Each team is allowed one 60-second timeout per game.
Faults:
- If the serve is out of bounds, it is a fault.
- Stepping into the non-volley zone while volleying results in a fault.
Referees & Officiating: Games will be self-officiated.

Formats & Rules are subject to change based on the discretion of the coordinator or professional staff.

Pickleball Guest Policy (2026 Only)

This year, pickleball players may invite one guest partner who does not meet standard eligibility requirements. This allows participants to team up with a friend, family member, or partner for competition.

This exception is limited to pickleball only and applies to one guest per team in each competition division.

Guest participants are required to complete the same registration, waivers, and pay fees as all other participants.

PLAY ELIGIBILITY

All players must have ID on them at the sport facilities for roster checks. If a player does not have ID available, they will not be allowed to play.
Eligibility and IDs will be strictly enforced throughout the tournament.

REGISTRATION

Team Sports Registration Deadline:
Mon. 6/29/26
Note: We only need one person from the team to register by this date (i.e. coach), so that we can build the brackets.
Guaranteed Shirt Deadline:
Mon. 7/6/26
Registrants after this date will select from the available shirts, on a first come, first serve basis at check-in.
Late Registration begins:
Mon. 7/20/26
Registration on and after this date will increase by $10.
