TEAM REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
Hello Nevada Police & Fire Pickleball Players!
Welcome to the very fist event of Pickleball in the NP&F games. Congrats on being the first players in the games to enjoy this sport.
We had a small but enthusiastic group this year. Thank you for your patience as I work to fill in gaps in our team brackets. I have a great line up of Men’s and Women’s teams for Tuesday 8/2 and Mixed doubles and a men’s round robin for 8/3.
A round robin is structured play where you play 6 doubles rounds. Each round you will receive a new partner and 2 new opponents. Each player is playing as an individual and the player with the most wins/points is our Gold Medal Winner for the Round Robin Event.
I have dropped in the names of each of the male players who do not have a mixed doubles partner. Please let me know if you are not able to attend the round robin event.
Please be sure to park in the Plaza Garage. Parking will be validated. Park on the 3rd floor if available. enter the casino on the 3rd floor through the door past the garage elevators. Walk down the ramp and turn right into the hotel elevator. Take the elevator to the 5th floor. The pickleball courts are next to the pool deck.
Please arrive by 7:30 to check in and warm up. Play will begin at 8:00 am. You will not be able to check in at the New Orleans to get your credentials by 8/2 which is not a problem. Just pick them up at a later time. You will not need them at the Plaza.
This will be the Inaugural season for Pickleball.
This first year will be doubles only no singles. If you do not have a partner we will find one for you so no worries. We will have Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles. The age brackets will be 21-49 and 50+. When you register you will need to know your you player rating. If you do not have one please contact the coordinator. The event will be held at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas at the pool.
Courts to be utilized 13 (includes championship court)
Balls: Dura X 40
