Pickleball’s Sport Competition Fee is sponsored by Palms Casino Resort & Yaamava’ Resort & Casino. Players will only ned to pay the registration fee this year.

Pickleball Competition Overview

Whether you’re a seasoned pickleball player or picking up a paddle for the first time, the tournament offers competitive play for all skill levels.

Teams will register for one doubles competition and will be placed into one of two divisions:

Novice: 3.0 and below
Intermediate: 3.5 and above

Each team must include at least one eligible first responder.

Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each division.

Format & Rules

Tournament Format

This tournament will follow a Round Robin / Pool Play format with Playoffs for all divisions.

3 teams or fewer: Divisions may be combined
4–9 teams: Round Robin format, top 4 teams advance to Playoffs
10–14 teams: Split into 2 Pools, top 2 teams from each pool advance to Playoffs

Maximum: 14 teams per division

Match Format

Round Robin / Pool Play:
1 game to 15 points, win by 2
Divisions with 8–9 teams will play to 11, win by 2
Playoff Matches, Pre-Medal:
1 game to 15 points, win by 2
Medal Matches:
Best 2 out of 3 games to 11 points, win by 2

Medals

Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place only in all combined events.

OTHER RULES

Timeouts: Each team is allowed one 60-second timeout per game.
Faults:
- If the serve is out of bounds, it is a fault.
- Stepping into the non-volley zone while volleying results in a fault.
Referees & Officiating: Games will be self-officiated.

Formats & Rules are subject to change based on the discretion of the coordinator or professional staff.

Pickleball Guest Policy (2026 Only)

This year, pickleball players may invite one guest partner who does not meet standard eligibility requirements. This allows participants to team up with a friend, family member, or partner for competition.

This exception is limited to pickleball only and applies to one guest per team in each competition division.

Guest participants are required to complete the same registration, waivers, and pay fees as all other participants.

PLAY ELIGIBILITY

All players must have ID on them at the sport facilities for roster checks. If a player does not have ID available, they will not be allowed to play.
Eligibility and IDs will be strictly enforced throughout the tournament.

REGISTRATION

Team Sports Registration Deadline:

Note: We only need one person from the team to register by this date (i.e. coach), so that we can build the brackets.
Guaranteed Shirt Deadline:
Mon. 7/6/26
Registrants after this date will select from the available shirts, on a first come, first serve basis at check-in.
Late Registration begins:
Mon. 7/20/26
Registration on and after this date will increase by $10.
