EVENTS

Competition takes place between lifters in categories defined by gender, bodyweight, and age. If there are insufficient entires in any age category, the coordinator may choose to combine age groups in order to conduct the competition.

Competitions include:

  1. Bench Press
  2. Push/Pull
  3. Squat
  4. Powerlifting
  • USPF Rules will apply.
  • A lifter may enter both the power lift and the bench press event.
  • A lifter’s bench press will also count for the power lifting portion of the meet
  • Wilk’s Formula will determine best lifter.
  • Special awards will be awarded for overall best lifter and best bench press.
ATTEMPTS & SCORING

Each competitor is allowed three attempts per lift, with their best successful attempt counting toward their overall competition total. Fourth attempts are not permitted for record-setting purposes.

The winner in each category is determined by the highest total achieved. If two or more lifters in the same category have the same total, the lighter competitor will be ranked higher. Lifters who fail to achieve a total will be eliminated from the competition.

COSTUME & EQUIPMENT INSPECTION

All events are “RAW” (non-supportive) competitions, meaning supportive apparel is not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Bench shirts. Lifters must wear a singlet or gym shorts and a t-shirt.
  • Support shirts
  • Reinforced lifting suits
  • Specialized support briefs
  • All wraps, including knee wraps

Please note:

  • T-shirts must be tucked inside the shorts.
  • Weight belts are highly recommended.
DRUG TESTING

Any lifter may be subject to drug testing per the Standard Policy and Procedures.
