TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
 
General Guidelines
  • Please arrive early before your first game for announcements and check-in.
  • Format: 11v11 on grass fields (cleats allowed).
  • Match Duration: Two 35-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime.
  • Minimum Players: Teams must have at least 7 players to start.
  • Roster Limit: Maximum 22 players per team.
  • Guest Players: Up to 2 guest players per team (must be 18+ with a valid state or government-issued ID—no exceptions).
  • Rules: FIFA Laws apply, with exceptions noted below.
    • Unlimited substitutions.
  • Tournament format will be determined based on the number of teams.
GAME PLAY & SEEDING SYSTEM
  • Guaranteed Games: Each team will play at least 3 games (round robin format, subject to change based on the number of teams).
  • Ranking After Round Robin:
    • Teams will be ranked 1st through 3rd within their pools based on points.
    • Seeding for elimination rounds will be determined by pool play results.
    • 1st place teams will be seeded 1-3 based on total points; tie-breaker rules apply if needed.
    • 2nd place teams will be seeded 4-6.
    • 3rd place teams will be seeded 7-9.
GAME PLAY & SEEDING SYSTEM

  • Guaranteed Games: All teams will play a minimum of 3 games for this year’s tournament.
  • Ranking After Round Robin:
    • Teams will be ranked based on points. Tie breakers will be the same as in past years.
    • Ranking will be based on games from first two days of play.

    • Top 6 teams will head to playoffs on Friday 8/8. Top 2 teams will head straight to semi-finals.
      • Quarter finals at 7 pm
      • Semi-final at 9 pm
    • All tie games will head straight to penalties during the playoff rounds; only players who have finished the game will be allowed to take penalties.
FORFEITS & PLAYER SHORTAGES
  • Teams without at least 7 players at the scheduled start time will have a 10-minute grace period.
  • After 10 minutes, the opposing team will be awarded a 1-0 forfeit win.
  • If both teams later have enough players, they may play a friendly match for the remaining scheduled time.
 
Flight Delay Exception
  • If a team is affected by delayed flights and does not have enough players, local non-eligible players may fill the roster for that game only to allow play as a friendly match.
  • However, the official result will still be recorded as a 1-0 forfeit win for the opponent.
  • Exception: If both team captains agree before kickoff to play the match as an official game, the final score will stand. Once the game begins, all decisions are final.
DISCIPLINARY RULES
  • Two Yellow Cards in a Match = One Red Card
  • A player receiving two Yellow Cards or one Red Card in a match will serve a one-game suspension.
  • A single Yellow Card does not carry over to the next match.
POINT SYSTEM
  • Win: 3 Points
  • Tie: 1 Point
  • Loss: 0 Points

In the case of a forfeit, the winning team will receive a 1-0 win and earn 3 points.

  5. Kicks from the Penalty Mark (or coin toss if time constraints apply, per Tournament Director’s discretion).

PLAY ELIGIBILITY

  • All players must have ID on them at the sport facilities for roster checks. If a player does not have ID available, they will not be allowed to play.

  • Eligibility and IDs will be strictly enforced throughout the tournament.

REGISTRATION

  • Team Registration Deadline:
    Mon. 7/1/25
    Note: We only need one person from the team to register by this date (i.e. coach), so that we can build the brackets.
  • Guaranteed Shirt Deadline:
    Mon. 7/7/25
    Registrants after this date will select from the available shirts, on a first come, first serve basis at check-in.

  • Late Registration begins:
    Mon. 7/21/25
    Registration on and after this date will incur a $10 late fee.
